Albert Clawson, Jr.

Albert E. Clawson, Jr. “JR” was born August 20, 1951, and passed away on October 11, 2019. There will be a Celebration of Life service held for him on Thursday, October 17 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Carpenter’s Way Church located at 5220 Monroe Blvd., Groves. 

JR was a kind and gentle soul, who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved his family both in Texas and in California. He loved dogs and cats. He loved fishing and gardening. JR preferred being outdoors. He worked at National Concrete for many years, but his last job was at La Uno Taxi – which he thoroughly enjoyed. He readily made friends, and people gravitated to him easily. JR was involved in AA and had many friends in AA. JR is survived by his sister, Linda Murillo, & loving friend Mary McFarland. JR considered Mary McFarland’s kids and grandkids his own. He also has nieces and a nephew and numerous great nieces and nephews in California. JR will be sorely missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to go fund me, to defray final expenses. Cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
