Alicia Kim Lawrence

Alicia Kim Lawrence, 61, of Beaumont, died Monday, July 12, 2021. She was born on June 5, 1960, to Joann Hutchinson Chapman and Robert Gayle Chapman, in Lafayette, Louisiana. Alicia was an avid reader of cookbooks and enjoyed drinking coffee in the morning. She thoroughly enjoyed and loved her granddaughter. Kim was known for kind and helpful heart. She deeply loved Christmas and the spirit of giving. Kim had a servant’s heart and always put others before herself.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. We know that she is now in peace celebrating with Poppie in heaven.

Survivors include her son, Joshua Lawrence and his wife, Emily, of Fairfax, Virginia; mother, Joann Chapman of Beaumont; sister, Nicole Hawthorne and her husband, Lanny, of Beaumont; granddaughter, Darcy Katherine Lawrence; niece, Kaley Sheffield and her husband, David; grandnephew, Cole Sheffield; aunt, Joan Yates and her husband, John, of Oakdale, Louisiana; and uncle, Butch Hutchinson of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Chapman.

A gathering of Ms. Lawrence’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with her funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 19, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
