Anna Hendricks

Anna Mae Hendricks, 83, of Hamshire, died Sunday, November 18, 2018, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. She was born on May 18, 1935, in Hamshire, to Francis Royer and Ray Shellhammer. She was a retired County Extension Agent in Houston County, where she worked for over forty years.

Survivors include her sisters, Ellen Ray Fischer and her husband, Orval and Ruby Ramsey and her husband, Ray, both of Hamshire; stepchildren, Debra Dale, Lisa Billiot, and Mark Dwayne Hendricks; nieces, Tamra Miguez, Darby Meguess, Kerri Loiacano, Amy Going, and Lori Shellhammer; nephews, Brian Fischer, Rex Ramsey, Blaine Shellhammer, and Dane Shellhammer; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

Anna Mae is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Rheuben “Butch” Shellhammer; and husbands, Burtis Dickey and C.W. Hendricks.

She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the doctors and staff at Harbor Hospice for their compassionate care of Mrs. Hendricks.

A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m., with a gathering of Mrs. Hendricks’ family and friends to follow, Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hamshire Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 153, Hamshire 77622.

Great memories of Aunt Anna Mae and Uncle Burtis.. Many years of going to their house and the fun my brother and I would have in Crockett. Aunt Anna Mae was a fabulous cook and a beautiful person inside and out. .RIP Aunt Anna Mae, We know so many of our family will be greeting you in the Mansion in the sky..
