Anne Shumaker

July 26, 1953 - December 10, 2019

Anne Shumaker, 66, of Silsbee, died Tuesday, December 10, 2019. She was born on July 26, 1953, in Roscrea, Ireland. At the age of three, she was adopted by Mary Dasse Shumaker and Carlo Shumaker, of Beaumont.

Survivors include her sister, Sheila Stevens and her husband, Kenneth, of Beaumont; nephews, Thad Stevens and Josh Stevens.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A Christian Vigil for Ms. Shumaker will begin at 5:00 p.m., with a gathering of family and friends to follow, Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 12, 2019, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys Avenue, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.

The family would like to thank the John Rodgers family and the Clint Nixon family for the love, support, and care they gave to Anne for many years. They also wish to thank Heart to Heart Hospice for their recent care and especially, Lori Pitre.

I did not know Annie well, only meeting her a few times. But those times were memorable. She was a sweetheart, always so kind and friendly.. I went shopping with her , my sister and Wendy and she helped me pick out a belt. We had a blast teasing each other about our style. May God bless you Annie and rest in such deserving peace.
