Annette Sonstebye
Annette Sonstebye, 78, of Port Arthur, died Sunday, June 16, 2019, at Southpark Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Austin. She was born June 19, 1940, in Port Arthur, to Lena Territo Sonstebye and Klaus Magnus Sonstebye.
Survivors include her daughters, Vickie Passamore, of Orange and Katherine Overstreet, of Austin; son, Robert Overstreet, of Groves; granddaughter, Kristi Porter; and great-grandsons, Eithan, Owen, and soon-to-be baby Cayson Porter.
A private family committal will be held at a later date.

I recently took ‘fake’ but colorful flowers to Annette. She always loved Spring & the flowers in bloom. After 34 years of friendship, her memory will be inseparable from flowers in bloom. Attached to the vase was this poem: “Flowers picked just for you That won’t cause an Ah-Choo Red, yellow, pink and blue; Just a tiny ole clue That our friendship is true! Thank you for being my friend all these years “

My mother had a grandchild named Kristi Rhoden My mom also had 2 great grand kids, Ethan and Owen. She also had two son-inlaws. Michael Newman and Scott Passmore. I don't know why my sister, Vickie could not add this to my mom's obituary..

I will always remember your mom as being so sweet when I would stay the night at your house. She made the best cinnabon toast. She was kind of ditzy, too, at that time, but that just made her more lovable because she made me laugh. She was such a hard worker, too. She did whatever she' needed to do to take care of y'all. And I know my mom and Aunt Billie enjoyed their time with her. I'm so sorry for your loss and pray for your family's comfort at this time.

very sorry for your loss. Annette was a very sweet lady. she did a lot for my father and for my uncle Dane, who passed about 15 yrs ago. she was always sweet to me and ill never forget the kindness she bestowed on my family. you are with God now! peace and blessings
