Beryl Ann Comeaux

November 9, 1930 - June 10, 2020

Beryl Ann Comeaux, 89, of Nederland, died Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at the Heritage House, Groves. She was born November 9, 1930, in Grand Coteau, Louisiana, to Ida Marks Olivier and Adolphe J. Olivier.

Beryl “Granny” attended Academy of the Sacred Heart in Grand Coteau, Louisiana and received a degree in Elementary Education. On August 19, 1949, she married Clesmé. They were married for sixty-nine years and had three children. Beryl was a dedicated homemaker. She enjoyed cooking delicious Cajun dishes for her family and friends. She was also a very talented seamstress and loved making blankets and clothes for her children and grandchildren. Beryl was an active member and volunteer at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church for many years. She will be missed greatly by many, but we rejoice in knowing she and Pappy are together again.

Survivors include her children, Carol Marsh and her husband, Ted, of Petal, Mississippi; Dale Comeaux and his wife, Libby, of Athens; and Benny Comeaux, of Seabrook; grandchildren, Neil Marsh and his wife, Jennifer; John Marsh and his wife, Lori; Caleb Comeaux; Brittney Cline and her husband, Mike; Darion Comeaux and his wife, Sarah; and Craig Comeaux; and great-grandchildren, Colby, Katherine, Dylan, and Zane Marsh; Bliss and Briggs Cline; and Ellissa, Zippy, and Clara Clesmé Comeaux.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ida and Adolphe Olivier; husband, Clesmé Comeaux; and sister, Ethel Talley.

A graveside service for Mrs. Comeaux will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 12, 2020, at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, 618 Block, Port Neches, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Please observe social distancing guidelines.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Heritage House, 6162 Warren, Groves, Texas 77619; or to Heart of Texas Hospice, 2390 Eastex Freeway, Beaumont, Texas 77703.
