Beverly Ann Floyd

July 31, 1937 - June 21, 2021

Beverly Ann Floyd, 83, of Nederland, passed away in her home Monday, June 21, 2021. She was born July 31, 1937, in Port Arthur, to Etta Mae Patin and Alex Jules Judice II.

Beverly enjoyed camping and fishing with her husband, Tyrus. They spent a lot of time in their RV at the lake and traveling with their friends. She also enjoyed looking after her rose garden and raising the most beautiful African Violets. Some of Beverly’s hobbies included painting and crocheting. She loved rodeos, horses, and dogs. Playing board games with her family, laughing, and having fun were some of her favorite things to do.

For many years, Beverly looked forward to having the holiday dinners at her house. She and her mom prepared all the delicious food and pies for her large family. It was during these family gatherings where many great memories were made. The family will miss her great sense of humor and infectious laugh. Beverly and Tyrus both loved the Lord, Jesus Christ. She is now reunited in heaven with Tyrus and all her family that passed before her.

Survivors include her children, Tyrus Grady Floyd, Jr. and wife, Cathie Jo, of Celeste; Steven Wayne Floyd and wife, Sandra Lynn, of Port Neches; Kurtice Lynn Floyd and wife, LaDonna, of Newton; and Melonie Ann Sanderson and husband, Wes, of Leander; sisters, Doris Marie Bourgeois and Carla Sue Ernst; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tyrus Floyd, Sr.; daughter, Dianna Gay Salisbury; brother, Alex Jules Judice III; grandson, Timothy Aaron Floyd; and brother-in-law, Charlie Bourgeois.

A gathering of Mrs. Floyd’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 25, 2021, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the many dedicated caregivers who assisted Beverly during her final years.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.

So many but one that stands out is a slumber party for Melonie and we had wrapped houses. ( toilet paper). Not long after a policeman was at the door and I think when she got nervous she giggled or maybe she just thought the whole thing was funny. But he could barely get words out and she giggled and giggled . I loved her laugh and she will truly be missed
