This is from Mary (previously Foux, Bear''s ex-wife) Arnold: Mayor Buckner had the ability to always make you laugh when things were bad; make you laugh until you were crying when things were good!! I will never forget the tale of his falling on the cactus during a hunting trip and having to have the thorns removed from his backside! Nor the wonderful sight of him riding up and down Meeker Road (or turning into our driveway) on his tractor in his coveralls (of course), and straw hat ,Billy will forever be known as the one and Only Mayor of Meeker! Plese keep in your hearts that so many people love you guys, love Billy, and our prayers are with you. We will miss him so very much; however, he will forever remain in our hearts. Love, Mary

George and Brenda Garza

When I was 5 years old I just knew that I would marry Billy Wayne. Our families were close. My brother practically lived at their house. I want his family to know that my father George and I will keep them in our thoughts and prayers. God has a plan. We may not know that plan but he does.
