Bobbie Jo "B.J." Murphy

October 13, 1954 - May 29, 2020

Bobbie Jo Murphy, 65, of Tiki Island, died Friday, May 29, 2020, at UTMB Health, Galveston. She was born on October 13, 1954, in Beaumont, to Ethel Thompson Waggoner and Darrell Leroy Walker.

Bobbie was a loving mother and grandmother, and always put her babies first. She loved to gamble, eat crawfish, and have a good margarita. Bobbie loved her friends who she shared many good times with.

She is survived by her husband, Lee Murphy, of Tiki Island; daughters, Tiffany Morrison and her husband, Randy, of Beaumont and Tabitha Prince, of Tiki Island; son, Justin Murphy, of Tiki Island; daughter-in-law, Shelie Tolbert, of Kountze; sisters, Carolyn Mazzola, of Beaumont and Ann McCallon, of League City; grandchildren, Kohen Jacobs, Keiton Phillips, Kennedy Phillips, Bailey Brisendine, Kove Morrison, Kayla Morrison, and Aubrey Tolbert; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bobbie is preceded in death by her parents; son, Clifford Tolbert; sisters, Billie Nordstrom and Lois Davis; and brother, Charles Walker.

A gathering of Mrs. Murphy’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 1, 2020, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee, with her interment to follow at Hardin Memorial Park, Silsbee. Please observe social distancing guidelines.
