Bobbie Lee Bushnell

June 3, 1932 - November 25, 2019

Bobbie Lee Bushnell, 87, of Beaumont, died Monday, November 25, 2019, at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home, Vidor, Texas. She was born on June 3, 1932, to Ezelle McCrery Lee and William Edward Lee. Bobbie was a retired physical education teacher and was very proud to have worked with Bum Phillips at Nederland and Port Neches High Schools. She was the first director of the Nederland High School Westeraire Drill Team established in 1956. Bobbie was an avid Houston Astros, Rockets, and Oilers fan. She loved attending events involving her grandchildren and celebrated their accomplishments. Bobbie was a member of the Episcopal church her entire life, once attending Holy Trinity in Port Neches and later St. Stephens in Beaumont.

Survivors include her sons, Cleigh Bushnell and his wife, Jodie of Beaumont and Bob Bushnell and his wife, Lori, of China; sister, Billie Lee of Beaumont; grandchildren, Jamie Jones and her husband, Brian, of Singapore; Jessi Bushnell of Austin; Kyle Bushnell and his wife, Christie, of Spring; and Bailey Bushnell of China; great-grandchildren, Avery Jones, Brady Jones, Sawyer Jones, Wyatt Bushnell, and Millie Bushnell; and brother-in-law, Richard Bushnell of Woodworth, Louisiana.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Bushnell.

A gathering of Mrs. Bushnell’s family and friends will begin at 9:30 a.m., with her funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
