Brad Watson

Brad Watson, 51, of Aledo, Texas, formerly of Beaumont, died Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was born on July 6, 1965, to Mildred Rice Watson and John Watson in Beaumont. Brad played for the West Brook High School football team when they won the State Championship in 1982 and graduated in 1983. He then went on to graduate from Lamar University in 1988. He worked for Lockheed Martin as a systems engineer on F-35s. Brad enjoyed hunting, fishing, and wood work.

Survivors include his parents, Mildred and John Watson of Wildwood; uncles, Herbert Rice and his wife, Glenda, of Hemphill and Herman Rice and his wife, Elda, of San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico; cousins, Tina Jay and her husband, Brett, of Hemphill; Kara Hyden and her husband, Mike, of Spring Branch; and Holly Carrizales and her husband, Rolando, of The Colony.

A gathering of Mr. Watson’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. with his funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
