Braxton Socia, 48, of Groves, died Tuesday, June 22, 2021. He was born on October 6, 1972, in Beaumont, to Ann Vergillo and Braxton Socia, Sr. Braxton was a tattoo artist for many years. He was a good carpenter and enjoyed working on trucks and spending time with his pit bulls. 

He is survived by his sons, Michael Shane Socia and his wife, Makayla Nicole, of Decatur; Justin Braxton Socia of Kountze; and Shannon Thomas Alexander Socia and his fiancé, Haleigh, of Quilin; daughter, Star Socia of Groves; grandchildren, Braxton Josef Shae Socia and Gydeon Reed Socia; brother, Brandon Wilson Socia of Groves.  

He was preceded in death by his wife of twenty-seven years, Many Socia; his parents; and sisters, Glynn, Donna “Boo”, and Tonya Socia. 

A gathering of Braxton’s family and friends will begin at 2:00 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
