To the family and friends who grieve the loss of our once-in-a-lifetime friend: Our hearts and prayers are with you all during this difficult transition. Though we will all miss Carl’s laughter, his hilarious jokes, his awesome prestidigitation, and his great big, beautiful, generous heart, we all must be somehow glad that his suffering is done. So, Nettie, our precious Nettie ... please know that you are loved so much by all who loved Carl. All those wonderful memories we all have of him, included you right there by Carl’s side. Because of the love the two of you have for each other, your life together stands firmly and forever for what is possible when two people love each other and God the way you do. Thank you for sharing your commitment to each other for all your years together ... you showed all of us what real love is about. God be with you all today and every day. 60 years ago I first met Carl , he was stationed in WI in the Air Force.....a little later he went on leave and came back to WI with his beautiful new wife Nettie. That same year they became God Parents to our daughter, Kathy. Some people change during the years but not Carl....Still with the jokes, working the magic, smiling that contagious smile and full of love for his family, friends and the Good Lord above. Prayers are with you Nettie and family...He is one of a kind....❤️❤️❤️

I worked with Carl in the sixties at H.C.C. He was a big help to me learning the "ropes" of Shiftwork. He was a true friend. He will be missed.
