Carolyn Jean Mazzola

Carolyn Jean Mazzola, 75, of Bevil Oaks, died Friday, January 15, 2021, at Summer Place Nursing and Rehabilitation, Beaumont. She was born on October 5, 1945, in Beaumont, to Ethel Thompson Waggoner and Darrell Leroy Walker.

Carolyn (Aunt Jean) was a loving wife of late John Wayne Mazzola. She dearly loved her husband, John, and so did he love her. She was very close to all of her family members especially their numerous nieces and nephews. She was a woman of strong principals and family values. Jean had a heart for charity and love giving. She did cherish gambling with her sisters which she considered herself to be good at. Especially when she won, it would bring her great excitement.

She is survived by her brothers-in-law, Tommy Nordstrom of Zavala and Lee Murphy of Tiki Island; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carolyn preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ann McCallon, Lois Davis, Billie Nordstrom, Bobbie Jo Murphy; and brother, Charles Walker.

A graveside service for Mrs. Mazzola will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 18, 2021, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
