Catherine Josephine Rafala Neff

Catherine Josephine Rafala Neff, 85, of Beaumont, died Thursday, August 10, 2017. She was born on June 13, 1932, to Ann Theresa Johnston Rafala Berdy and Samuel Rafala, in Rhode Island. Catherine retired as an interior designer for Howell Furniture and Blum Furniture and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Cathey Nan Hunter of Beaumont; son, Stephen Louis Hunter of Marina Del Ray, California; daughter, Theresa Hunter Primeau and her husband, Ricky, of Pasadena; grandchildren, Fallon Chatman of Houston and Hunter Golliday of Marina Del Ray, California; and brothers, Paul Berdy and John Berdy of Newport, Rhode Island.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Phillip E. Neff; and brother, Salvatore “Sonny” Rafala.

A gathering of Mrs. Neff’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont, with her interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
