Cecil Baird

Cecil Baird, 86, of Trinity, died Friday, November 30, 2018. He was born on February 15, 1932, in Sulphur Springs, to Lillie Hicks and James Grady Baird.

Survivors include his wife of twenty-three years, Maria Pacatte; children, Bertha Broom, of Silsbee; Cecil O. Baird and his wife, Sylvia, of Yuma, Arizona; James F. Baird and his wife, Peggy, of Silsbee; Grady Baird, of Houston; Tony Baird and his wife, Maria, of Lumberton; Robert Baird, of Village Mills; Manuel Ramos and Grace Matus, both of Yuma, Arizona; Anna Pacatte, of North Glenn, Colorado; Brenda Ruiz and her husband, Mario, of Yuma, Arizona; Sonya Baird, of Trinity; and Joseph Baird and his wife, Jennifer, of Nederland; brother, James O. Baird, of Honey Island; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other family and friends.

Cecil is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Reyna Baird; son-in-law, Ricky Broom; brother, Belton Baird; sister, Susie Sunday; and stepmother, Janie Gentry Baird.

A gathering of Mr. Baird’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 6, 2018, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at 2:30 p.m., Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Madisonville.
