Charles Dana Burnett, 92, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. He was born on December 8, 1926, in Cameron, Texas, to Julia Anderson Curry and Isaac Nuel Burnett, Jr. Charles was a United States Army veteran and a retired banker.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Burnett; and daughter, Amanda Burnett, both of Beaumont; nieces, Donia Steele and her husband, Mark, of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Mary Elizabeth Ezell and her husband, Eugene, of Buna; nephew, Robert Jennings Whiteley and his wife, Libby, of Denver, Colorado; and cousins, Suzanne Manley and her husband, Robert, and family; Anna Claire Chaney, and family; Steve Tye; John Tye III and his wife, Vel, and family.

A gathering of Mr. Burnett’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with his memorial service at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 22, 2019, at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 1350 North 23rd Street, Beaumont. A committal will be at St. Andrew’s Memorial Garden.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church Children’s Fund, 1350 North 23rd Street, Beaumont, Texas 77706 or to an organization of one’s choice.
