Charles “Charlie” Fontenot

Charles “Charlie” Fontenot, 39, of Winnie, died Monday, March 4, 2019, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was born on June 18, 1979, to Vivian Marie Winfrey and John Fontenot, in Beaumont. Charlie was a member of Xtreme Slings, which is a slingshot group. He was passionate about his children. Charlie enjoyed taking cruises and was very much into tinkering and buying trucks.

Survivors include his wife, Theresa Fontenot; daughter, Caitlyn Kilgore and her husband, Ashton, of Beaumont; sons, Brayden Fontenot, Kristian Fontenot, Tavyn Fontenot, and Hunter Fontenot, all of Winnie; father, John Fontenot and his wife, Donna Johnson, of Louisiana; mother, Vivian Winfrey of Winnie; brother, Jimmy Fontenot of Hunstville; special friends, Alvin McGrew and Samantha Duggan, both of Winnie; eight nieces and nephews; and a host of aunts, uncles, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

A gathering of Mr. Fontenot’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 10, 2019, at Northpoint Community Church, 420 South Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium.

Charlie and I was very close growing up. Is wasnt just a cousin to me he was more of a big brother. Ill miss his storys his friendly smile and how if i truly needed someone there i could always count on him. I love you Charlie.. R.I.P forever in my heart.
