Charles “Chuck” F. Alford
Charles F. “Chuck” Alford, 84, of Beaumont, died Sunday, October 29, 2017. He was born on October 16, 1933, to Lucile Curtis Alford and R.C. Alford in Dayton. In his younger days, he loved to golf and fish and was a United States Air Force veteran having served for four years. For thirty-five years, Charles worked for the Beaumont Police Department as a Detective Sargent. He was a member of Pine Lodge and served as Master of his lodge for two years and also a member of the Scottish Rite.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-nine years, Nancy Alford; brother, Jim Alford and his wife, Cheryl, of Silsbee; nephew, Curt Alford and his wife of Silsbee; niece, Rebecca Alford of Orange; two great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
A gathering Mr. Alford’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 2, 2017, at Broussard’s. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m., at Magnolia Cemetery, North Nellius Street, Woodville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

My grandparents, Jewell and Opal Trantham were friends with Mr. and Mrs. Alford. Their friendship allowed me to spend time with Charles and Jimmy. This produced a lot of fond memories for me. My heartfelt sympathy to the family.
