Charles K. Kidd

Charles K. Kidd, 90, of China, died Sunday, July 4, 2021. He was born on November 8, 1930, to Beatrice Cox Kidd and Theodore Malcom Kidd, in Meridian, Mississippi, and was a veteran of the United States Air National Guard. Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby M. Kidd; children, Kenneth Kidd, Jr. and his wife, Brenda and Debra Harvey, both of Beaumont; siblings, Stanley Kidd and his wife, Alice and Brenda Kidd Hubbard and her husband, Norman, both of Beaumont; grandchildren, Chelsey Chandler and her husband, Jason, and their children, Hayden and Gauge, all of Beaumont and Brandy Freeman and her daughter, Brianna; and nephew, Chris Hubbard; and a host of other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and family members, Joy Kidd, Roland and Ronald Kidd, and Charlie Harvey.

A gathering of Mr. Kidd’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with his funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at First Baptist Church, 607 Broadway Avenue, China, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His interment will follow at China Cemetery.
