Charles Weston, Jr.
Charles Howard Weston, Jr., 71, of Lumberton, died Saturday, September 1, 2018, at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was born on October 24, 1946, to Loyce “Pete” Darby Weston and Charles Howard Weston, Sr., in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Charles was a United States Army veteran having served in the Vietnam War as a paratrooper for the 82nd Airborne 101st Infantry.
He retired from Temple-Inland after thirty years of service. Charles was very competitive in athletics and was a natural athlete. He was an avid bowler who bowled numerous 300 games. Charles enjoyed entertaining family and friends and just loved life in general.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Eller Weston; sons, William Charles Weston and Scott Howard Weston, both of Beaumont; sister, Carol Weston Daly, and her husband, Mike, of Lake Charles, Louisiana; nieces, Diana Lynn Fruge and her husband, John, of Louisiana; Deb Renee Rasch and her husband, Larry; and Dora Kristine Melton and her husband, Richard; aunt, Mary Ann Wright; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews he always loved and enjoyed.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A gathering of Mr. Weston’s family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
