Charlotte Simmons

Charlotte Mae Simmons, 92, of Nederland, died Friday, January 3, 2020, at Vidor Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on August 31, 1927, in Silsbee, to Annie Mae Brady Schroeter and Andrew Schroeter, Jr.

Survivors include her sons, Paul Simmons and his wife, Judy, of Copperhill, Tennessee and Mark Simmons and his wife, Jimmie, of Orange County; grandchildren, Ellie Simmons; Brandon Simmons; Jeremy Simmons; Sherry Stout; Jason Simmons; and Dana Simmons; great-grandchildren, Heather Stout; Lauren Stout; Kailyn Simmons; Kairi Simmons; Ashton Shultz; Malaki Broome Simmons; Alyssa Simmons; Titus Simmons; and Eric Simmons; brothers, Bill Schroeter and Andrew Schroeter; and sister-in-law, Jerry Presley.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, C.L. Simmons, Jr.; and son, Kent Alan Simmons.

A gathering of Mrs. Simmons’ family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 3324 Park Drive, Nederland. Her interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
