Claude Joseph Credeur

August 16, 1931 - June 21, 2017

Claude Joseph Credeur, 85, of Winnie, died Wednesday, June 21, 2017. He was born August 16, 1931, in Rayne, Louisiana, to Louise Simon Credeur and August Credeur He was a longtime resident of the Winnie area, retired from the Pipefitters Local 195 and had worked as a welder in the oilfield industry. Claude was also active in the Winnie-Stowell Volunteer Fire Department. 

Survived by wife of sixty years, Lena Credeur, of Winnie; son, Rusty Credeur and his wife, Kim, of Winnie; daughter, Melinda Bass and her husband, James, of Mont Belvieu; daughter-in-law, Mindy Credeur, of Winnie; sister, Pam Credeur Bryant and her husband, Gary, of Beaumont Colony; grandchildren, Ashton Hebert, Ryan Credeur, Taylor Bass, Emily Credeur and Braeden Credeur; great-grandchildren, Kaslea Baldridge, Kaydince Hebert, Kailie Hebert and Ryelynn Credeur; nieces, Jerry Breaux and Debbie Breaux Garner; sister-in-law, Helen Marie Menard and Marietta Credeur; numerous other family members and friends. 

He was preceded in death by parents; son, Randy Credeur; brothers, Leroy Credeur and Dudley Credeur; and sister, Mary Louise Lassiter. 

A gathering of Mr. Credeur’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 26, 2017, at Broussard’s Chapel, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at First United Methodist Church of Winnie, 1708 SH 124, Winnie, under the direction of Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.  

Memorial donations may be made in Mr. Credeur’s name to First United Methodist Church of Winnie, PO Box 1570, Winnie, Texas 77665.
