Clesmé Comeaux, Jr.

Clesmé Joseph Comeaux, Jr., 87, died Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at home surrounded by family and friends. He was born August 19, 1931, in Sunset, Louisiana, to Lena Darby Comeaux and Clesmé Joseph Comeaux, Sr.

He was a simple man. His faith, family, and friends were what he truly loved and that was made evident by the ones that were there to help him on his final journey. He had no regrets.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-nine years, Beryl Comeaux; children, Carol Marsh and her husband, Ted, of Petal, Mississippi; Dale Comeaux and his wife, Libby, of Athens; and Benny Comeaux and his wife, Mary, of Seabrook; grandchildren, Neil Marsh and his wife, Jennifer; John Marsh and his wife, Lori; Caleb Comeaux; Brittney Cline and her husband, Mike; Darion Comeaux and his wife, Sarah; and Craig Comeaux; great-grandchildren, Colby, Katherine, Dylan, and Zane Marsh; Briggs and Bliss Cline; and Zippy, Clara Clesmé, and Ellissa Comeaux; sister, Joyce Dugas, of Church Point, Louisiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Preston Comeaux.

The family wishes to thank Amy Campbell and the staff of Texas Home Health; Heather and Ashely; and the Rodgers family and Saldana family for their love, care, and support.

A gathering of Mr. Comeaux’s family and friends will begin 12:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 1:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m., Friday, May 10, 2019, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland. His interment will be at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Building Fund, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland, Texas 77627; or to Texas Home Health, 5685 Eastex Freeway, Beaumont, Texas 77706.

Beryl, I was so sorry to hear about Clesme's passing. I will miss his sweet Louisiana accent when he would tell stories when y'all would visit at Georgette and Ollens house. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I will miss those good times. Love you, Juleen Carriere
