Dale Iguess

August 3, 1947 - September 30, 2019

Dale Iguess of Beaumont passed away peacefully on Monday, September 30, 2019, in the loving care of Mid Jefferson Extended Care Center, Beaumont. Dale served his country as a Marine with a tour of duty in the Vietnam War. He was born in Beaumont, to the late Melba and Willie Iguess. After his father’s passing Dal Jordan became his stepfather until his passing in September 2001.

He worked hard and provided for his family as a tugboat captain for many years. Dale always talked fondly about his time on the water navigating the Intracoastal Waterway and Mississippi River. Anyone that spent time with Dale for just a short time knew what a charmer he was. He loved to make people laugh and he was so easy going. He could tell a story and make you laugh until you cry. Dale had a personality as big as the state he was born in. He loved rock music, eagles and Harley Davidsons. But his love and admiration for his Mother was undeniable. Without a doubt they are together again watching over all of us.

Dale is survived by his six children, Scott Iguess and his wife, Gabriele, of Lufkin; Samantha Vallatini and her husband, Michael, of Friendswood; Nathan Iguess and his wife, Christal, of Lufkin; B.J. Iguess and his wife, Morgan, of League City; Tracy McCann of Queen Creek, Arizona; and Stephanie Hancock and her husband, Aric, of Huntington; his loving sisters, Donna Bertrand and her husband, Lee and Margaret Miller, both of Hamshire; twenty-two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews as well as greats; and his uncle, James Wright, of Cheek. Dale also leaves behind friends that loved him and remember him for his bigger than life personality.

Dale would not want us to mourn his passing, he would want us to remember the good times and the many laughs shared along the way. Fly high with the eagles Dale and we will see you again. Until then you will be missed by your family and Friends. Love you right back!

There will be a celebration of life service for Dale at a later time. The family will pass on this information as soon as it is known.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.

Uncle Dale was one of the funniest persons I’ve ever known. A fellow Marine, we had talks about many things. I know how much he loved everyone, and how much he was loved. I will miss him.

Me and my family met Dale about 10 years ago...maybe longer. He immediately became a part of our family, without question! He was always in great spirits and making people laugh. He always had a story to tell. Loved the ones pertaining to his last name, "IGUESS". There was nothing this man wouldn't do for anyone. He was very kind hearted and willing to help others. He loved good food and music...and always talking about his kiddos!♥️ When things were down, he brought them up. When people were negative, he brought out the positive. If it was dark, he made it bright. And he knew the WORD. He always told us...let God handle it...we love and miss him ..EVER SO MUCH... Love, Angie (Angelina Jo Lee)
