Dalton Simon Sr.

Dalton Joseph Simon, Sr., 86, of Winnie, died Tuesday, January 9, 2018. He was born January 28, 1931, in Lyons Point, Louisiana, to Anastasia Bertrand Simon and Arville Simon.

Dalton is survived by his wife, Erma Leger Simon, of Winnie; daughters, Cindy Jones and her husband, Kit; Stephanie Simon; Ramona Miller and her husband, Robert, all of Winnie; sons, Dalton Anthony “Tony” Simon; Dalton Michael “Mike” Simon and his wife, Carol, all of Winnie; and Dalton Joseph “Jody” Simon, Jr., of Houston; grandchildren, Daphne Leleaux. Casey Jones, Jesse Wayne Simon, Buck Miller, Paige Sweeney, Cameron and Sarah Simon; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen Royer, Shirley Tatford and Marylene Williams.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A gathering of Mr. Simon’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Friday, January 12, 2018, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 13, 2018, at St. Louis Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
