Daniel L. Benson

Daniel Leslie Benson, 79, of Beaumont, died Saturday, May 6, 2017, at The Gardens, Altus Hospice Inpatient Pavilion, Beaumont. A native of Call, Texas, he had been a resident of Beaumont for the last several years. Daniel was a retired machine operator.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie Benson; and daughter, Melinda Benson, both of Beaumont; and several nieces and nephews.

Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, Alma and Jesse Benson; sisters, Helen Rogers and Louise Guill; and brother, Jesse Benson, Jr.

A memorial service for Mr. Benson will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Sunday, May 21, 2017, at Amelia Baptist Church, 8055 Brighton Street, Beaumont. Cremation arrangements were handled by Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
