David Philpot

David Scott “Scotty” Philpot, 50, of Kountze, died Friday, November 24, 2017. He was born on November 27, 1966, in Port Arthur, to Martha Newman Philpot and John Ruben Philpot.

Survivors include his children, Courtney Philpot Meyer and Megan Philpot and her husband, Dillon Gore, all of Warren; grandchild, Jaik Gore; mother, Martha Meyer of Kountze; father, John Philpot and his wife, Cathy, of Vidor; brothers, John Kent Philpot and his wife, Madilyn, of Auburn, Washington and Brandon Keith Philpot and his wife, Rachelle, of Spanaway, Washington; and grandfather, Kent Newman and his wife, Grace, of Magnolia.

David’s committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont. His memorial service will be at a later date.
