Dudless Pierre Bourque

Dudless Pierre Bourque, 91, of Nederland, died at his home Friday, February 24, 2017. He was born on August 1, 1925, in Abbeville, Louisiana, to Louise LeBouef Bourque and Noah Bourque.

Dudless worked for Sabine Towing Company for fifty years as Chief Steward. He loved God, his family, and friends. He enjoyed raising cattle, eating good food, and drinking coffee.

Survivors include his children, Kenneth, James, and Brenda Bourqe Tompkins of Houston; grandchildren, Kenneth, Jr., Lisa, Cleve, Derek, Ashlynn, Emilee, Braton, Garret, Nathan, Theresa, and Brian; great-grandchildren, Mariss, Miranda, Tommy, Seth, Benson, and Hayden; and great-great-grandchildren, Able, Bella, Aiden, and Madeline.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Eunice Bourque.

A gathering of Mr. Bourque’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 3, 2017, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Broussard’s, Nederland, with his entombment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
