Effie Sheffield

Effie Jo Culpepper-Sheffield, 89, of Lumberton, died Sunday, August 12, 2018. She was born on December 31, 1928, in Decatur, to Margurite Atchley and Rosco Reger.

Survivors include her son, Larry Culpepper and his wife, Liz, of Lumberton; grandchildren, Joe Culpepper and his wife, Kristen; Micheal Culpepper and his girlfriend, Kristen, of Conroe; Ricki Bett and her husband, Sam, of Irving; and Billy Joe Culpepper and his wife, Jilda, of Saginaw; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Effie is preceded in death by her parents; first husband and father of her children, Billy Joe Culpepper; second husband, George Sheffield; and son, Ricky Culpepper.

A gathering of Mrs. Sheffield’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at Broussard’s. Mrs. Sheffield’s interment will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 16, 2018, at Eastside Cemetery, Bridgeport.
