Eva Weeks

Eva Jean Hooks Weeks, 84, of Silsbee, died Sunday, July 14, 2019, at Christus Hospitals-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born on July 1, 1935, in Silsbee, to Evie Luper and Will Hooks.

Survivors include her children, Debbie Gordon and her husband, Terry; Evevone Kelly and her husband, Jim; James Morse; Joe Morse; Lee Bohler; and John Weeks, Jr, all of Silsbee; sister, Lavone Gordon, of Austin; twelve grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and also, Evelyn Harris and Norman Hooks.

Eva is preceded in death by her husband, John Morgan Weeks, Sr; parents, Will and Evie Hooks; daughter, Kathy Prine; grandson, Jeremy Prine; great-granddaughter, Callie Sanford; brothers, Warren Hooks and Rayburn Hooks; and sisters, Aline Hooks, Bertie Bigford, Irene Gordon, Lavern Yeagin, and Ima Flowers.

A gathering of Mrs. Weeks’ family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Resthaven Cemetery, South 3rd, Silsbee.
