Evelyn Joyce Ford

Evelyn Joyce Ford, 89, of Kountze, died Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. She was born on June 13, 1928, in Silsbee, to Dovie Gore and George Hooks.

Survivors include her brother, Louis Hooks; and a host of family and friends.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 32 years, Arlin McKenley Ford; brother, John Hooks; and sisters, Maxine Mercer, Loatis Crawford, and Emmely Gore.

A gathering of Mrs. Ford’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 24, 2017, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. Her funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 25, 2017, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Hooks – Cravey Cemetery, Silsbee.
