Evelyn Hebert McDonald

Evelyn Hebert McDonald, 103, of Beaumont, died Friday, April 23, 2021, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. She was born on October 27, 1917, in Iowa, Louisiana. Evelyn has lived in Beaumont for more than 87 years. After retiring from her 9 to 5 job, she began working as a volunteer at St. Elizabeth Hospital for 25 years.

Survivors include her son, Kilby Scott McDonald and his wife, Nancy, of Clear Lake Shores, Texas; grandson, Kilby Scott McDonald III (Trey) and his wife, Amanda, of Santee, California; and great-grandson, Jacob Scott McDonald of Santee, California.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest W. McDonald; mother, Emma Hebert of Lake Charles, Louisiana; brothers, F. Marvin and I.L. Hebert, both of Lake Charles, Louisiana; sisters, Anna Belle Denison of Iowa, Louisiana and Geneva Brewton of Winnfield, Louisiana; and Kyle Sean McDonald, of Beaumont.

A gathering of Mrs. McDonald’s family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., with her funeral service to follow at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 29, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A private graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
