Fara Linn Newton

Fara Linn Newton, 63, of Beaumont, died Monday, May 11, 2020, at Christus Southeast Texas-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born on October 30, 1956, to Marilyn Fara Atkinson Goulas and Alvin Dale Goulas, in Port Arthur.

Fara worked at Armstrong and Mccall as a sales rep, always displaying a wonderful attitude to all her customers and co-workers. Fara truly lived to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, hanging out on the beach, and watching Days of Our Lives with her stepdaughter, Allison. She loved to travel any chance she got and enjoyed being outside whenever possible. Fara was an easy going, fun-loving woman who had the sweetest smile and most contagious laugh. It was always evident that Fara loved her family, especially her grandson, Evan. Just the mention of his name would light up her face. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.

Survivors include her mother, Fara Goulas of Winnie; grandson, Evan Cash Clayton of Dallas; uncle, Danny Atkinson of Port Neches; and stepdaughter, Allison Wagstaff and her husband, Kyle, of Beaumont.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Robert Newton, Jr.; daughter, Erin Brook Burris; and father, Alvin Dale Goulas.

A gathering of Mrs. Newton’s family and friends will be from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Saturday, May 30, 2020, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium.
