Fay Sterling Daws

December 12, 1942 - August 20, 2020

Fay Sterling Daws, 77, of Lumberton, went to be with the Lord Thursday, August 20, 2020, at Harbor Hospice of Beaumont. She was born December 12, 1942, in Beaumont, to Mary Mattsen Sterling and Jerry Sterling.

Fay accomplished many things during her life including once owning her own restaurant. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, and drawing and was known for being very creative. Fay cherished her dogs and cats. Most of all, she adored her family, friends, and neighbors and loved to spend time with them.

Survivors include her children, Jerry Daws and his wife, Jenny, of Bridge City; Debbie Daws; and Tory Daws and husband, Corie Kelley, all of Houston; grandchildren, Kaycie and Keyton Daws; Shaelin Broussard; and Jayden and Sterling Green; great-grandchildren, Caesyn Orta and Noah Broussard; step-grandchildren, Carlie and Easton Jordan and Brock and Sawyer Cornelison; brother, Harvey Sterling and his wife, Sandy, of Sour Lake; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Jerry Sterling; husbands, Earl Simpson and Jimmie Daws; brother, Jimmie Sterling; and sisters, Geraldine Sterling and Martha Stone.

A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
