Freddie Daigle
Freddie Daigle, 61, of Hamshire, died Tuesday, February 25, 2020. He was born on September 18, 1958 in Rayne, Louisiana to Relma Marie Richard Daigle and Joseph “Fred” Daigle. Freddie worked for over twenty years as an OR surgical tech at St. Elizabeth Hospital and Healthsouth. More recently he worked as a pipe fitter. He had a passion for cooking and loved to feed his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of thirty six years, Suggie Hopson Daigle; daughters, Alana Thibodeaux and Jarrah Daigle and her husband David Hatcher; sons, Hagan Daigle and his wife, Lyndsie and Kelby Daigle, brother, Christian Daigle; sister, Sheri Gilbert and her husband, Bryon and their daughter Hannah as well as numerous other nieces and nephews and his lifelong friend “coach” Paulsel who became “Pawpaw Tommy” to Freddie’s grandchildren. His greatest achievement was being a loving “Pa” to his grandchildren, Lexie Collins, Macie Collins, Braylon Robb, Kaden Daigle, Hayes Daigle, Holden Hatcher, Reid Hatcher, Landry Hatcher, Ryder Roebuck, Rebel Roebuck, and Rush Roebuck.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
A gathering of Mr. Daigle’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with his funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 1, 2020, at First Baptist Church, 25304 Highway 124, Hamshire, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His interment will follow at Hopson Family Cemetery, Hamshire.
Memorial Contributions for Mr. Daigle may be made to Hamshire Volunteer Fire Department, 12393 2nd Street, Hamshire, Texas 77622.
