Gary Frank Bonura

Gary Frank Bonura, 63, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at Beaumont Healthcare Center, Beaumont. A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, he was born on December 21, 1953, to Juliet Joyce Samuelson Bonura and Frank Jesse Bonura. Gary loved scratch offs and to help people who were worse off than him. He had a sweet smile and loving nature.

Survivors include his sisters, Jo Ann Lombard and her husband, Walter IV, of Beaumont and Maude Borel and her husband, David, of Nederland; nephews, Walter Lombard V and his wife, Michelle, of Houston and David R. Borel, Jr. and his wife, Corina, of Houston; nieces Gina Flanagan of Nederland and Juliet Douglas and her husband, Kyle, of Houston; ten great-nieces; and one great-great nephew.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Michael Bonura.

A gathering of Mr. Bonura’s family and friends will be from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys Avenue, Beaumont. His interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
