I graduated from nursing school with Gene. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I often wondered where life led him after nursing school. He was very polite, studious, and I knew he would be a good nurse. He kept us all in stitches of laughter in nursing school. He will certainly be missed. RIP, my friend

Gene was an excellent RN who worked in St E’s ICU. He took good care of each patient and supported and helped all the other Nurses with whom he worked. He was kind, courteous, and always quick to lend both a helping hand and a quiet uplifting, encouraging word. It was truly my privilege to know Gene. In later years, I came to to know his magnificent talent in quilting. He was truly an artist with cloth, needle, and thread. God Bless you, Gene, as you enter into His Heavenly Home. God Bless you, Vicky, may you and your family cherish many wonderful memories of Gene.

He was the best big brother a little sister could ever have. He was a good and kind man. He was my children's Uncle and a big Teddy bear. My heart is in much pain. I know you have gone to heaven to be with your lord and savior. Welcomed into loving arms by Daddy and our brother Danny. Another Angel in heaven. I will miss you always.

I never knew Gene personally but felt like I knew him through his wife Vicky and her posts on Facebook. He was such a special person to Vicky and everyone that knew him. He touched the lives of many in his short 65 years. He also had a knack for making the most beautiful quilts. He will be missed. My sincere condolences to Vicky and her family.
