George “Pop” Allen Guillory

George Allen “Pop” Guillory, 81, of Port Neches, died Wednesday, March 15, 2017. He was born on May 21, 1935, in Ville Platte, Louisiana, to Aline Morein Guillory and Jean Bapiste Guillory.

George was a United States Army veteran and was a serviceman at Southern Union Gas for over thirty years. He enjoyed gardening, spending time with his family, and watching his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Guillory of Port Neches; son, Craig Guillory and his wife, Fay, of Fannett; daughters, Jenny Dawkins and her husband, Jeff, of Katy and Kim Villafano and her husband, John, of Nederland; grandchildren, Adam Guillory and his wife, Leslie, of Austin;  Chelsea Skinner and her husband, Ryan, of Bridge City; Jessica Beauchamp and her husband, Ty, of Peaster; Jared Dawkins of Houston; Seth Villafano of Nederland; Cole Villafano of Nederland; and Jacob Dawkins of Katy; great-grandchildren, Cace, Halle, and Reece Skinner of Bridge City; Eloise and Jaxon Beauchamp of Peaster; Stella Guillory of Austin; and step grandchildren, Adam, Alan, Kurtis, and Megan Bell of Fannett.

A gathering of Mr. Guillory’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with his Rosary recited at 6:30 p.m., Friday, March 17, 2017, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 18, 2017, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland, with his interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
