Glenn Burns

Glenn Burns, 72, of Kountze, died Sunday, November 18, 2018. He was born on November 17, 1946, in Hemphill, to Lue Whitmire and Herman R. Burns. Glenn retired as a supervisor at the papermill.

Survivors include his wife, Marsha Burns, of Kountze; sons, Garry Burns and his wife, Melinda, of Silsbee; Scott Burns and his wife, Layna, of Lumberton; and Michael Burns and his wife, Ashley, of Bridge City; grandchildren, Daniel Burns and his wife, Jessica; Justin Burns and his wife, Kayla; Cody Burns; Josh Burns and his fiancé, Bishop; Garrett Burns; Jaithen Burns; Hannah Burns; and Grayson Burns; brothers, Lonnie Burns, of Jasper; and Gene Burns and his wife, Leta, of Lumberton; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Glenn is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, W.B. Burns, Herman J. Burns, Laura Lewis, and Elray Burns.

A gathering of Mr. Burns’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at Broussard’s with his interment to follow at Hardin Memorial Park, Silsbee.
