Grace Peno

Grace Peno, 88, of Nederland, died Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Silsbee Oaks Health Care. She was born on October 31, 1928, in Beaumont, to Ida Pearl Rogers and Dethridge Francis Monroe. Grace enjoyed collectables, going to garage sales, and working crossword puzzles. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her sons; Richard L. Peno and his wife, Laura, of Tomball; and Mark R. Peno and his wife, Nita, of Lumberton; daughter, Roxanne Stafford of Beaumont; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Grace is preceded in death by her husband, John L. Peno; and her parents.

A gathering of Mrs. Peno’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at Jasper City Cemetery, 1299 North Main Street, Jasper.
