Harry Reviere

September 29, 1926 - September 6, 2018

Harry Reviere, 91, of China, died Thursday, September 6, 2018, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. He was born on September 29, 1926, in Lawtell, Louisiana, to Lena Belleau and Leus Reviere. Harry was a United States Navy veteran, having served in World War II. After serving in the Navy, he re-enlisted in the Army serving in Kodiak, Alaska. Harry owned and operated an auto parts whole sale store.

Harry is survived by his children, Steve Reviere and his wife, Suzanne, of Sour Lake; Mike Reviere and his wife, Kaye, of Kingwood; Dr. Debbie Oge and her husband, Gordon Oge, of Sour Lake; and John Reviere and his wife, Sonya, of Beaumont; brother, Norris Reviere and his wife, Margaret, of Crowley, Louisiana; grandchildren, Christopher Reviere and his wife, Ashley, of Sour Lake; Ben Reviere and his wife, Lauren, of Kingwood; Gordon Oge IV, of Beaumont; Matt Reviere and his wife, Laura, of Nashville, Tennessee; Timothy Reviere, of Arlington; Jonathan Reviere, of Sour Lake; John Oge and his wife, Alex, of Lumberton; Morgan Reviere and Kamryn Reviere, both of Beaumont; and seven great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Opal Reviere; son, Billy Reviere; and sister, Marie Jagneaux.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the doctors and staff at Harbor Hospice, for taking such good care of Harry.

A gathering of Mr. Reviere’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 7, 2018, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at China Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
