Hazel Hebert

August 15, 1921 - March 24, 2018

Hazel Hebert, 96, of Winnie, died Saturday, March 24, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 15, 1921, to Alicia Trahan Breaux and Morris Breaux. She had been a longtime resident of the Winnie area.

Hazel was a true Cajun, who loved to cook, garden and read. Most of all, she loved her family and visiting with friends.

Survivors include daughter, Ann Potter and her husband, Mark, of Winnie; numerous nieces; nephews; and many family friends.

She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Waldo Hebert; brothers, Gustan Breaux; Freddie Breaux; Calise Breaux; sisters, Agnus Leger; Noline Prejean and Beaulah Faulk.

Special thanks to Kindred Hospice, Hailey Wood and Deborah Case, for the care that was given to Mrs. Hebert.

A gathering of Mrs. Hebert’s family and friends will be from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Broussards Chapel, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
