Helen McBride

July 27, 1937 - July 22, 2019

Helen Edris McBride, 81, of Port Neches, died Monday, July 22, 2019. She was born on July 27, 1937, in Port Arthur, to Helen Marion Odell McComber and Theron John McComber.

Helen was a well-known Realtor/Broker in Southeast Texas and Austin. She loved spending time with her family. Helen enjoyed going to the beach and being near the water and was an avid doll collector. She loved living on Lake Travis with her husband and spending summer vacations with her grandchildren exploring the lake. Helen later retired at Crystal Beach.

Survivors include her daughters, Sharon Allen and her husband, Ross, of Trout Creek; Helen Gay Stevens and her husband, Thomas, of Groves; and Kristine Carley and her husband, Craig, of Richmond; son, James Pellerin and his wife, Cathi, of Nederland; sisters, Kathleen Abel and Phyllis Schkade; brothers, Robert, Theron, Monti and Keith McComber; grandchildren, Erica “Nikki” Gauthier, Kristi Gary, Lindsi Vercher, Tate Allen, James “Aaron” and Ethan Pellerin, Jason Stevens, Kelley Frioux, Caden, Camren and Karys Carley; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnny McBride; brother, William “Billy” McComber; sister, Ann Kendrick; and granddaughter, Angel Kay Allen.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Holly, Emily, Shanika and Caroline with Best Hospice care of Texas. Your kindness, care and compassion will never be forgotten.

A gathering of Mrs. McBride’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 25, 2019, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 26, 2019, at Broussard’s, Nederland, with her interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.

Im sorry to here of Mrs. McBride's passing. I did know here however I knew Mr. Johnny well from doing contractor work in goodrich and synpol in the late 70' to early 80's/ He was friendly and easy going. I was a pleasure to know him.
