Helga Fuller

April 17, 1943 - April 30, 2019

Helga Schneider Fuller, 76 years of age, passed to be with the Good Lord on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Summer Place Nursing Home in Beaumont, Texas. Helga was born April 17, 1943 in Butzbach, Germany to the late George and Elizabeth Schneider.   The oldest of two children, Helga was raised in Butzbach where she completed her academic years of education including studies in Business College.

Helga married Mark Regenald Hagood in 1961 with whom she had 4 children. Yes – all boys! Helga was a devoted wife and dedicated mother to her sons throughout their lives. Helga married a second time to Edwin Larry Fuller in 1982 with whom she remained happily married over her remaining 37 years.

Helga was a lover of life, family and friends. Never one to miss a good German tea party, she loved spending quality time with her most cherished friends. Helga was also an avid dancer who loved to jitterbug the night away. A lover of good old-fashioned rock and roll, she’d be the first one on the dance floor saying how much she loved her some Elvis. A friend to everyone, Helga was a soft soul with an even bigger heart who loved her family dearly. Her sons, grandchildren, and great grandchildren meant the world to her … oh, how she loved her babies!

Survivors include her husband, Larry Fuller, of Port Neches; sons, Steve Hagood, of Charlotte, North Carolina; Tim Hagood; Ronnie Hagood, both of Austin; and Mark Hagood and his wife, Julie, of San Antonio; step-daughters, Shelby Brugman, of Martindale; Kasi Wolcott, of Houston; and Lori Crawford Fuller, of Baytown; brother, Helmut Schneider, of Dusseldorf, Germany; sixteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Jerry Brugman; and grandson, Jeremy Brugman.

A gathering of Mrs. Fuller’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 3, 2019, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A committal will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.

Only fond memories of this wonderful person who not only took care of a house filled with her own boys but offered open arms to those of us who came to visit. Prayers for her family and friends.
