Henry Cox, Jr.

June 18, 1937 - January 26, 2018

Henry Olen Cox, Jr., 80, of Beaumont, died Friday, January 26, 2018, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. He was born June 18, 1937, in Patmos, Arkansas, to Lela Mae Breedlove Cox and Henry Olen Cox, Sr. and was a United States Army veteran. Henry was a decorated sharpshooter in the Army. He was an avid golfer, lighthearted, and had an infectious sense of humor.

Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Cox; son, Trey Cox and his wife, Karen, of Lumberton; daughter, Kelly Cox of Beaumont; and grandchildren, Amanda Cox, Katharine Moore, Ashlin Anselmo, and Karsyn Cox.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Janet Patton.

A gathering of Mr. Cox’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with his memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A private committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
