Henry Short, Jr.

Henry “Bubba” Cecil Short, Jr., 61, of Kountze, died Monday, February 12, 2018. He was born on July 19, 1956, in Silsbee, to Mattie Evelyn Coey and Henry Cecil Short, Sr.

Survivors include his wife, Letty Short, of Kountze; son, Michael Lynn Keck and his wife, Jessica, of Germany; grandchildren, Isaac Keck, Abigail Keck, and Nathan Keck; and siblings, Brenda Hobbs and her husband, Tom, of Huntsville; Fran Coward and her husband, Wayne, of Silsbee; Linda Ferguson and her husband, Sam, of Camp Wood, Texas; Peggy Parker of Silsbee; and Kristi Bryan, of Beaumont.

Bubba is preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Robert Musick; and his sister, Lois Short.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friendship Baptist Church, 3601 Cooks Road, Silsbee, Texas 77656.

A gathering of Mr. Short’s family and friends will begin 10:30 a.m., with his funeral service to follow at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, February 15, 2018, at Friendship Baptist Church, 3601 Cooks Road, Silsbee. His interment will be held at Resthaven Cemetery, Silsbee.
