Ivan W. Test

Ivan W. Test, 75, of Beaumont, died Monday, February 6, 2017, at Dubuis Hospital, Beaumont. He was born on March 27, 1941, to Laura Woods Test and Leo Burdett Test, in Harvey, Iowa. Ivan enjoyed playing chess from a very young age. He retired from Dow Jones after thirty-five years. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed woodworking, cruises, and RVs.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Test; daughters, Meschelle Tucker and her husband, Henry, of Vidor and Shondi Test and spouse, Mona Jones, of Beaumont; sister, Bertta Moore of Oregon; brothers, Morris Test of Cocoa Beach, Florida and Roy Test of Mason, West Virginia; and grandchildren, Nicole Tucker and Danielle Tucker.

He is preceded in death by sister, Erma Whitlatch and brothers, Floyd Test and Milton Test.

A gathering of Mr. Test’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m. with his memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 10, 2017, at Forest Park United Methodist Church, 225 South Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
