Ivy James Cuniff

March 18, 1925 - April 29, 2019

Ivy James Cuniff, 94, of Port Neches, died Monday, April 29, 2019. He was born on March 18, 1925, to Mariah Fannett Cuniff and Willie Cuniff, in Sour Lake. Ivy James retired as a gateman from Union Oil and was a World War II veteran.

Survivors include his daughter, Yolanda Cuniff, of Sour Lake; grandchildren, Katy Wheeler and her husband, Robert Wheeler, of Sour Lake, and James Nelson and his wife, Carrie, of Clear Lake; great-grandchildren, Maeryn Schoenfelder, Griffin Schoenfelder, Ashley Campbell and her husband, Jaret, Cody Nelson, Tori Nelson, Dylan Nelson, and Madison Nelson; great-great-grandchildren, Cullen Campbell, Greyson Campbell, and Emma Nelson. 

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service for Mr. Cuniff will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 3, 2019, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2400 5th Street, Port Arthur, Texas. Cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
