James Gault

James R. Gault, 83, of Sour Lake, died Thursday, February 8, 2018, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. He was born on October 23, 1934, in Lufkin, to Argie Mae Largent and William Jackson Gault, Sr. James was a United States Army veteran and was a retired technician.

He is survived by his son, Richard E. Gault and his wife, Kay; and brother, Joe David Gault and his wife, Martha, all of Sour Lake; grandson, Christopher W. Gault; and granddaughter, Karen M. Gault, both of Beaumont; nephew, Jason Gault and his wife, Paulene, of Lumberton; niece, Laurinda White and her husband, Johnathan, of Sour Lake; and great-nephews and great-nieces, Tyler White and Kelsey White, of Sour Lake and Jase Gault and Aleeya Gault, of Lumberton.

James is preceded in death by his wife, Jewell Faye Nix Gault; son, James David Gault; and brother, William Jackson “Tubby” Gault, Jr.

A gathering of Mr. Gault’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 12, 2018, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Sour Lake.
